2 italian women, 1 german woman, and 1 brooklynite. gustiamo.

There's alot going on at Gustiamo these days, and in the boroughs in general.

First, Gustiamo got verified as a women-owned business. (I'm readying my free-shipping order).

They attended the market benefit and got hippified.

My mother made dessert with their balsamico, and things got minutely racy on West 81st Street. My mother's family were in Brooklyn in the middle, settiung up candy stores and synagogues. We used to spend alot of time waxing poetic on the past, but now there's wax for the present, and it's tasty.

My grandmother says "the best people come from Brooklyn." And then adds "but they leave!". I don't see any of these staunch supports straying West anytime soon, whether it's to Manhattan, or Berkeley. That is the one thing that may change. Static, but satisfied lives, filled with integrity and practiced, appreciated crafts. It is the quintessential, idyllic, demand and supply.
